Morning CLE Seminar
Professionalism Day CLE featuring Egil “Bud” Krogh

Egil “Bud” Krogh, a member of the Nixon Administration`s Special Investigation Unit who helped conduct illegal investigations of key adminstration opponents and who was subsequently jailed for his role in the unit, will speak at the NHBA`s 2010 Midyear Meeting/Professionalism Day events this year at the Radisson Hotel/Center of NH in Manchester.

Krogh, who went to prison and suffered disbarment for ordering and planning illegal actions at the behest of his mentors in the highest levels of government, eventually was reinstated as an attorney.

Today, an older and wiser Krogh tours the country speaking to attorneys and other groups about the importance of ethics and professionalism in a world where our ideals are constantly being tested. Many of his lessons are related in his new book, Integrity: Good People, Bad Choices, and Life Lessons from the White House.

Krogh takes his audience through a cautionary and inspirational tale of regret and redemption in this nationally acclaimed CLE program, qualifying for 2.5 hours of NHMCLE Ethics/Professionalism credits.

Ethics Encounter – The Game Show with Credit!

Ethics is not just knowing what the rules are – it’s a process constantly tested by the decisions, dilemmas, and difficult choices you confront every day.

Ethics Encounter brings these challenges to life – but at a safe distance from you! Landya McCafferty, disciplinary counsel for the Attorney Discipline Office and a former public defender, is your host, doing her best to keep antagonists, er, contestants Russell Hilliard and Steven Gordon from coming to blows as they take differing positions on a range of professional conduct scenarios. Then, you the audience, get to jump in and express your points of view and VOTE on which of our contestants presented the best course of action.

Thrills, spills, bon mots, and best of all – this program qualifies for 2.5 hours of SC Rule 53 NHMCLE Ethics credit.
