Inactive Status Fiscal year June 1 – May 31 Inactive members shall not be engaged in the practice of law in NH, be designated as "of Counsel in NH, or occupy a position the duties of which require the giving of legal advice or service in NH." Inactive members can be reinstated to Active status by submitting a completed Status Change form accompanied by payment of Active dues & Court fees for the current fiscal year (June 1-May 31), minus any dues & fees already paid in that fiscal year. To assist the Supreme Court with effective and efficient application of Supreme Court Rule 53, administration of the NHMCLE program is based at the Bar Center and overseen by the court-appointed New Hampshire Minimum Continuing Legal Education Board. The NHMCLE program of the New Hampshire Supreme Court should not be confused with the New Hampshire Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education program. NH Supreme Court Rule 53. No requirement, unless you were on Active status for 9 or more months during the reporting year. Note: Members on Inactive status for more than 2 consecutive years must acquire 6 additional hours of CLE, in the year immediately before or during, the year you return to Active status. Certificate & Mandatory IOLTA Certification NH Supreme Court Rule 50 No requirement, unless you were on Active status for any portion of the prior fiscal year (June 1 – May 31).
