Tuition for Professionalism Day at Midyear Meeting is subsidized by the NH Bar Association with special funding from the NH Supreme Court’s Minimum Continuing Legal Education (Rule 53) Committee.
 
Registration Information
Advance registration is not available for the March 8 Midyear Meeting. Very limited seating for the morning or afternoon CLE programs or the luncheon is available. Contact Cheryl Moore for information.
 
 
Honors & Awards Luncheon
Hon. Marcia Cooke is the guest speaker for the Midyear Meeting Honors & Awards luncheon, which will also include the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the NH Public Defender.

NH Bar President Larry Vogelman will present the Distinguished Service to the Public Award to Margaret H. Nelson, the Vickie M. Bunnell Award for Community Service to Christopher T. Regan and the Outstanding Service in Public Sector/Public Interest Law Award to Alan Linder.

The NHBA Pro Bono program will present the L. Jonathan Ross award for Outstanding Commitment to Legal Services for the Poor to David L. Nixon. The 2013 Distinguished Pro Bono Service Awards will be presented to Margaret Cunnane Hall, Daniel J. Harkinson, Brian C. Shaughnessy, Kenneth D. Murphy, Judith K. Jones, Ronald R. Bessette and the Catholic Lawyers Guild. The 2013 Rising Star Award will be presented to Brenda M. Golden Hallisey.
 
 
Gender Equality Breakfast
The NHBA Gender Equality Committee is proud to announce that Evelyn Murphy, former Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts and founder of The WAGE Project, Inc. a national, grassroots activist organization dedicated to eliminating the gender wage-gap, will be our featured speaker. She was a faculty member in the initial workshop of the GEC’s Gender Equality Training Initiative, held this fall.

Murphy, the first woman to serve in statewide office in the Bay State, is author of Getting Even: Why Women Don’t Get Paid Like Men and What to Do About It, published by Simon and Schuster in 2005.
