NOTICE OF JUDICIAL VACANCIES IN N.H. COURT SYSTEM

The Judicial Selection Commission, established by Governor John H. Lynch by an executive order dated February 25, 2005, hereby posts notice of judicial vacancies in the New Hampshire Courts for 2011/2012.
  • Supreme Court – Associate Justice
     
  • Superior Court
     
  • Circuit Court
There is currently one position at each court level being screened. All interested and qualified applicants are encouraged to apply. Completed applications must be postmarked by November 18, 2011.

Applications (revised in 2007) may be downloaded from the websites of the Governor or the NH Bar Association. Applications may also be requested by calling 271-7677. Please be sure to use the 2007 application.

Applications should be mailed to: Judicial Selection Commission, P.O. Box 2167, Concord, NH 03302-2167. Applications may also be delivered to the law firm of Orr & Reno, 1 Eagle Square, Concord, NH, by November 18, 2011. Please direct questions to Emily Rice (603-223-9112) or Philip Waystack (603-237-8322), Co-chairs.

Please include a cover letter with your application specifying the position(s) for which you are applying. Any previous applicant is welcome to apply for judicial office by submitting a complete new application.
 
 
Judicial Selection Commission Application & Questionnaire


The Governor's Executive Order creating the Judicial Selection Commission provides that  "(t)he names of persons considered by the Commission shall remain confidential except to the extent necessary for the Commission to carry out its responsibility to evaluate candidates."



The Judicial Selection Commission will send you a letter acknowledging receipt of your Application and Questionnaire, and may also contact you to appear for an interview. The Judicial Selection Commission will not otherwise contact you regarding the status of your application until after the Governor announces his nominee.
