NHBA Listserves update - Feb. 5
Dear Section & New Lawyers Listserve Subscribers:
Thank you for all the e-mails and calls regarding issues with Listserve postings. Due to the size of our lists and the amount of traffic on them, these problems have been difficult to resolve and we appreciate your patience.
A major cause of the disruptions was that spam-detecting software on e-mail servers that e-mail providers use was triggered by the sheer volume of postings coming from a "new" source -- namely our new Listserve provider after the NH Bar switchover. After that software was reset and messages began flowing again, the software somehow was re-triggered. Thus the reason why some of you received the messages for about one day last week then they stopped again.
Intus Technologies, our Listserve provider, has been very responsive to all of the problems and is working diligently to once again clear us from the block list. It may take another day or two, however.
Regarding the Out of Office messages that some of you on the Real Property list had been receiving -- an adjustment was made to the rule that was set up to stop these types of messages from distribution to the list. The rule is now set up such that any message that has the exact words "Out of Office" in the subject line should now be prevented from distribution to the any of our lists.
We appreciate all your feedback and continue to address issues on both a mass and individual basis. Please continue to use the lists if you can, but remember that not all users will receive your message until we can again get removal from the block list.
For future updates, please check the homepage of the NH Bar's website. Thank you.
