Several Judges Among Honorary Members This Year
THIS YEAR’S GROUP of honorary members – those Bar members who have attained the milestone of 50 years in the practice of law – includes several highly esteemed members of the New Hampshire judiciary.
Hon. William F. Batchelder was associate justice of the NH Supreme Court from 1981 until his retirement in 1995, and before that was a superior court judge from 1970 until his elevation to the Supreme Court. He continues to assist the court through special appointments as a substitute justice and remains an active member of the Bar. He lives in Plymouth.
Hon. Vincent P. Dunn, retired associate justice of the NH Superior Court, served on the trial court from 1981 to 1991.
Hon. Martin F. Loughlin retired after more than 20 years as a U.S. District Court judge, having served from 1979 to 1995. Previously, he served as a member of the superior court bench from 1963 until his appointment to the federal bench. Today, he remains active as a member of the Nixon, Raiche, Manning, Casinghino & Leach law firm in Manchester.
Hon. J. Albert Lynch retired in1992 after 38 years on the bench as justice of the Pelham District Court. He continues in private practice at the Lynch Law Office in Pelham.
Hon. Robert H. Temple was an associate justice of the NH Superior Court from 1979 to 1992. He continues to contribute his time to the judicial system, including serving as chair of the Criminal Jury Instructions Task Force.

These members will also be specially recognized at a reception at the NHBA Annual Meeting.
