Pierce Law Helps Staff the Referral Phones of Pro Bono
ALUMNI AND STAFF of Franklin Pierce Law Center staffed a June 24 Pro Bono Referral Marathon, and organizers believe it may become an annual event.
Pictured are (left to right, standing): Heather Logan, FPLC student and a 2003 Public Interest Coalition (PIC) Fellow working this summer for the Pro Bono program; David Rienzo, of the NH Attorney General’s Office; Carolann Wooding, Pro Bono coordinator; Brigette Siff Holmes, director of Pierce Law’s Social Justice Institute; Concord attorney Susan Hassan; and Cindee Carter, Pro Bono assistant coordinator. Seated is Mary Sheffer, director of career services at Pierce Law. Also participating in the marathon were attorneys Amy Davidson of Pittsfield and Martin Smith of Dover.
More than two dozen cases are expected to be placed as a result of these individuals’ efforts.
Participation in referral marathons by asking your peers to take a case is one way many lawyers who are unable to represent Pro Bono clients can help. Contact Carolann Wooding or Cindee Carter at 224-6942 for more information.
