Additional 'ALIES' Participants
THE NH BAR Association’s Law-Related Education program was recently notified that the following attorneys participated in the 2003 "A Lawyer and Judge in Every School Day" in Grafton County: Elizabeth Paine, Gabriel Nizetic and Mark Fischler. These attorneys made their own arrangements to visit schools and were, therefore, not included in the July 4 Bar News list of ALIES volunteers who informed the NH Bar of their school visits. Other attorneys who made their own arrangements are still encouraged to notify Melissa Childs, Law-Related Education coordinator, at 224-6942 or at mchilds@nhbar.org to inform her of their participation.
DOVE Campaign Featured in Bar Leader
An ad campaign promoting the Pro Bono Referral Program’s Domestic Violence Emergency (DOVE) project was recently spotlighted by Bar Leader magazine. The ad campaign, which featured a number of DOVE volunteers dressed as Uncle Sam and using the "We Want You" slogan, ran in several issues last fall in Bar News.
New Scenery for Elder Law, Real Property Section Meetings
In keeping with a tradition started last year, the Elder Law & Probate and Real Property Law sections have scheduled a summer meeting at a non-traditional, recreational location. Last year, the group went on a Seacoast cruise, and this year the two sections are heading for the hills.
The sections, which often hold meetings on the same day one after the other, are scheduled to gather on Aug. 8 at the Mount Washington Hotel from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tentatively planned is a presentation on "Planning for Rural and Vacation Real Estate: Trusts and Land Preservation Issues and Techniques" by McLane attorney Alexandra Breed.
