Bar Task Force to Consider Law-Related Education in NH
THE LAW-RELATED Education programs of the Bar - We the People, Project Citizen, Mock Trial and a Lawyer in Every School, to name a few - are among the most far-reaching and popular volunteer activities conducted by the Bar.
NHBA Vice President Richard Uchida is chairing a task force, composed of lawyers, judges, educators, legislators and others, which will study law-related education needs in New Hampshire. Uchida said the group will be asked to consider whether the NHBA's programming in this area fulfills those needs.
In a letter to appointees, NHBA President Russell Hilliard said the task force will provide a report to the NHBA Board of Governors regarding recommendations for LRE programming before its sunset in June 2004. Included in the report will be recommendations on the priorities of such programming, costs and resources for such programming - including funding and staffing suggestions, governance, administration and oversight of LRE activities in the future.
The members of the task force include: attorney Richard Y. Uchida, Peter Gulick, attorney Brigette Siff Holmes, Jacqueline Kramer, attorney Eleanor H. MacLellan, Hon. Tina L. Nadeau, Arthur S. Pease, attorney Robert E. Raiche, Kenneth J. Relihan, attorney Steven R. Sacks, David Snyder, Mica B. Stark, attorney R. James Steiner and attorney Howard J. Zibel.
