In Memoriam - Cahill

Timothy F. Cahill

TIMOTHY F. CAHILL, who worked for a time in the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, died Oct. 12, 2003, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was 45.

Cahill was born in Boston, the son of M. Robert and Nancy (Donohue) Cahill. He graduated from Brockton (Mass.) High School and from the University of Massachusetts. He earned his law degree from the New England School of Law in Boston in 1992 and was admitted to the Mass. Bar in 1993 and to the NH Bar in 1994.

Cahill worked in commercial real estate in Boston; served as an aide to Sen. Bill Golden of Massachusetts; worked in the Medicaid fraud unit of the Mass. Attorney General's Office; worked for Plymouth Rock Assurance Corp. in Boston; and was in-house counsel for Sentry Insurance in Westford, Mass. He also worked as a substitute teacher at Concord (NH) High School.

Cahill moved to Newbury, NH in 2002. He was a member of the South Newbury Union Church. He was also a member of the Mystic River Rugby Football Club, and enjoyed serving as an assistant coach for his children's sports teams.

He volunteered for the Velie Family Fund and for Fisherfield's Recreation Project.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Claire (Scialla) Cahill of Newbury; two sons, Grant and Garrett Cahill, both of Newbury; his mother, of Brockton, Mass.; two sisters, Eileen O'Donoghue of Marshfield, Mass., and Kathleen Cahill of Baltimore; two nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Grant and Garrett Education Fund, Lake Sunapee Bank, 9 Main St., Newport, NH 03773.

In memory of our colleague Timothy F. Cahill, the New Hampshire Bar Association's Board of Governors has contributed to the New Hampshire Bar Foundation, 112 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301.
