Giving Spirit Lives at Bar Center
THE NH BAR Association staff this year raised $1,350 through an in-house auction of goods and services and through contributions to collection jars, a significant increase from the $934 raised by the staff last year.
A check for $1,350 was presented to Jim Doremus of The Friends Program, Inc., of Concord, which provides emergency housing, foster grandparents, interfaith caregivers and junior/senior friends to those in need.
"This generous gift is much unexpected and greatly appreciated," Doremus said upon receiving the donation.
The Bar staff also collected food for the Capital Region Food Program and the Concord charitable organization Friends of Forgotten Children. In addition, the staff purchased and wrapped gifts for a specific family in need recommended by the Friends of Forgotten Children.
Pictured are members of the Bar’s Holiday Giving Committee presenting Doremus with the check: Nancy Kerrins, Diane Seguin handing the check to Doremus, Carolann Wooding, Trisha Coplan and Lee Jones. Missing are Committee members Audrey Carrel and Sue Morand.
