A DELEGATION OF 12 civil and military leaders from Macedonia visited the Granite State in May as part of the "Partners for Peace—New Hampshire 2004" program. The group participated in a series of emergency planning workshops (in both Macedonian and English) at sites throughout the state, demonstrating how various groups, such as police, fire departments, hospitals, and other emergency personnel co ordinate in the event of a natural disaster. After lunch at the State House, the delegation went to the Legislative Office Building for a panel discussion on the First Amendment, the Right to Know Law and FOIA, led by former state Supreme Court Justice Charles Douglas, AP journalist David Tirrell-Wysocki and Office of Emergency Management Public Information Officer JimVan Dongan.
