PUC Commissioner Geiger Resigns

SUSAN S. GEIGER, an attorney and a member of the NH Public Utilities Commission, is stepping down from the job after more than 10 years on the three-member commission, and, before that, another 10 years as an attorney in the state Dept. of Health and Human Services and at the Attorney General’s office. "Although I deeply cherish the 22 years I have spent working in the public sector, the time has come for me to move on," she said in a statement.

Her resignation takes effect on July 9. Her six-year term was to expire next June. There is no word yet from the governor’s office as to when a successor will be nominated.
