Judge T. Casey Moher
Judge T. Casey Moher, a Dover District Court justice for ten years, died Sept. 14, 2004. Judge Moher, who graduated from Boston University Law School in 1941, was a NH Bar member for more than 60 years.
Born in Manchester, Moher attended schools in Nashua. After high school, he played professional baseball in Canada and attended Providence College on a baseball scholarship. Always energetic, in later years, he was an avid golfer at the Coheco Country Club in Durham.
In addition to his private practice, Moher was Dover City Attorney for 17 years and Strafford County Attorney for six years. He also served in the military during World War II and the Korean Conflict; during the latter, he was an OSI instructor and an Arctic survival specialist in Alaska. According to an article in the NH Sunday News, Moher was a popular speaker and master of ceremonies and gave slide shows about his experiences in Alaska.
Moher is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anne Spillane Moher of Durham; a daughter, Dr. Mary Gabriel of Vass, NC; a son, Thomas Moher, of Durham; a brother Russell Moher of Nashua; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
