Bar Foundation Names Board
THE BAR FOUNDATION is pleased to announce the following changes to its Board of Directors.
Anthony McManus, of Dover, has taken over as chair of the Bar Foundation Board. McManus has served on theBoard of Directors for more than 10 years and brings long-term commitment to the organization and to his role as board chair. Emily G. Rice, of the Dean, Rice & Kane law firm in Concord, has been named vice-chair. She has served on the board for two years and brings new energy and insight to the Bar Foundation’s mission.
The Bar Foundation Board of Directors welcomes Gerald H. Little, Robert Dunning, Jr., John E. Hutson and Honorable Edwin W. Kelly as its newest members. Little is the president of the New Hampshire Banker’s Association and has worked at the association for 10 years. Dunning, a member of the New Hampshire Bar, is the president of Homesource, which specializes in finding suitable housing for families, businesses and associations. Hutson is the new dean of Franklin Pierce Law Center, having recently retired from his position as head of the Judge Advocate General Corps of the Navy. Kelly is the Administrative Judge of the New Hampshire District Courts and has been a member of the District Court bench since his appointment in 1985.
“We look forward to working with these creative and dedicated members from the community and are grateful for their willingness to serve,” said Tina Abramson, Foundation Executive Director. Abramson pointed out that the Foundation’s board has become more diverse as a result of these appointments, which will give the Foundation an opportunity to make itself better known outside the legal community.
Charles A. DeGrandpre, after three years of chairing the Board of Directors, will now be serving as chair of the Advancement of Justice Committee, which oversees the Bar Foundation’s fundraising activities.
The following directors have left the board at the completion of their terms: James Duggan, Linda Saunders, Randall Cooper and Donald Hebert. The Bar Foundation is grateful for their tremendous support and dedication over the years.
