Professional Conduct Committee ~ Suspension
Desmarais-Gordon, Christine adv. Professional Conduct Committee #00-N-125 SIX-MONTH SUSPENSION
The New Hampshire Supreme Court Professional Conduct Committee investigated the matter of Desmarais-Gordon, Christine advs. Professional Conduct Committee #00-N-125 and issued a Six-Month Suspension on January 21, 2005.
Christine Desmarais-Gordon represented Lynn Turgeon in a personal injury action stemming from a 1998 car accident. See Karen S. Dexter v. Lynn Turgeon, Hillsborough County Superior Court, Southern District (Docket #99-C-415). The Committee determined that the record supports findings by clear and convincing evidence, including the following:
Ms. Desmarais-Gordon violated Ms. Dexter's privacy rights by falsely representing that Ms. Dexter authorized the release of her records;
The Committee found by clear and convincing evidence that Christine Desmarais-Gordon violated the following Rules of Professional Conduct: 4.1(a), 4.4, 5.3(b), 8.4(c), and 8.4(a).
