Lawyers in the Community

Susan A. Atlas, a partner at Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA in Manchester, has been elected to the board of trustees of the Manchester Historic Association. Atlas has been a member of the NH Bar since 2000 and first became interested in the work of the Historic Association when she and her family moved into—and remodeled—a 250-year-old house in Hollis.

Carolyn W. Baldwin of Baldwin & Callen, PLLC, in Concord and a member of the NH Bar since 1977, was recently honored by The New Hampshire Main Street Center as its Outstanding Board Member of the Year. The Main Street Program encourages and supports the revitalization of downtowns in New Hampshire. Baldwin is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and has served also as chair of the Program Planning Committee.

Kelleigh L. Domaingue, of Devine & Nyquist, P.A., Manchester, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Manchester Choral Society. Domaingue studied music at Boston College and sang soprano in the University chorale. She plays seven instruments and has studied the flute since third grade. Domaingue is a graduate of Boston College and Vermont Law School and has been a member of the NH Bar since 2004. She is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Manchester Young Professionals Network.

Susan A. Manchester, a partner with the law firm of Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green, Manchester, was recently elected to the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. College membership is by invitation only; Manchester is only the fourth attorney from New Hampshire to be so elected and the first woman representative. She has been a member of the NH Bar since 1980.

Lisa Snow Wade, part of the health care practice group at Orr & Reno in Concord and a member of the NH Bar since 1988, has been honored with the Bruce Friedman Award by the NH Partners in Service for her vital commitment to children’s advocacy. Bruce Friedman, now deceased, was a well-known children’s advocacy lawyer at the Franklin Pierce Law Center Clinic and did much to further the rights of children in New Hampshire.

John R. Wilson of Goff and Wilson, P.A., Concord, has been appointed to the post of New Hampshire Commercial Consul to France by NH’s Office of International Commerce. Wilson represents the state’s interests primarily in the development and promotion of international trade relations between NH and France, including business transactions, strategic alliances, joint ventures, cross-marketing and state-to-state as well as state-to-nation relations and agreements. He has been a member of the NH Bar since 1983.

Sari Ann Strasburg has been elected Treasurer of the American Lung Association of New Hampshire. Sari is the owner of the law firm Strasburg Law P.L.L.C. in Bedford, NH where she focuses on business contracts, intellectual property, and US and international taxation. She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and has been a member of the NHBA since 1985.

Raymond P. D’Amante was recently reelected as Trustee by the board of the New Hampshire Historical Society. D’Amante, founder and President of D’Amante Couser Steiner Pellerin, P.A. in Concord and has served as a trustee since 2001. He also serves on the board of trustees of Canterbury Shaker Village. He has been a member of the NH Bar since 1974.

Martin P. Honigberg, of Sulloway & Hollis in Concord, recently was appointed by Gov. John Lynch to serve as a member of the NH Ballot Law Commission. Honigberg recently completed two two-year terms of service as the Merrimack County representative on the NHBA Board of Governors. He also is a member of the NH Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Rules.

James P. Reidy, an attorney with Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA, Manchester, has been appointed Vice President of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs for the Manchester Area Human Resources Association (MAHRA) for 2005-2006. MAHRA promotes a human resource voice in the local community, providing political and legislative advocacy for issues that impact the human resource profession. Reidy has been a member of the Bar since 1989.
