Glorious Weather Greets Pro Bono Golfers
A.G. O’Neil, Jr., Master Michael Garner, and Mitchell Jean were the winning team at the Quid Pro Bono Golf event on June 30.
Nearly 100 golfers and picture-perfect weather made for a very successful Quid Pro Bono Golf Tournament on June 30 to benefit the NHBA Pro Bono Referral Program.
The event, the Pro Bono program’s single largest fundraiser, was postponed from June 2 due to soggy greens.
Taking first place with a 62 was Belknap County’s best, the team of Arthur G. O’Neil, Mitchell Jean and Hon. Michael Garner. Close behind at 65 were the foursomes: Hon. Robert Morrill, Thomas Kraeger, Arthur Adams and Peter Decato; and Michael Ruedig, David Garfunkel, Douglas Homan and Gary Hogg.
A sponsor list and more photos will be published in the Aug. 12 issue of Bar News.
The first-place mixed team included several players from Maine, among them attorneys Walter Smith and Randy Smith and Maine Bar Association executive director Julie Rowe.
Closest-to-the-pin winners were Wright Danenbarger and Susan Hoople.
Players practice the short game in the shadow of the Sunapee mountains at the Mount Sunapee Country Club in New London.
