Rule 53 Compliance Record Easily Available
You may look at your online course records if you have a current e-mail address in the NHBA member directory. If you need to update your e-mail address, please send the information to: aoneill@nhbar.org and she will input it for you.
You may access your records at www.nhbar.org by logging into the Casemaker area in the upper right corner of the home page. If you’ve never logged in before, contact nhbainfo@nhbar.org or ask for the NHBA Web master for information on your default user name and password.
After logging in, click on the NHMCLE Attorney Records green box in the lower right corner. On the next page, at the left you will see your name and your Course Summary. Click on the word “More” underneath the summary to read all the course details. If there is a problem with any of the listings, you can send an e-mail to Lee Jones in the NHMCLE department by clicking on the ? next to a course. Only courses dated after July 1, 2004 qualify for this year’s report—unless you have used any of them to make the minimum for your 2004 report. Please refer to your copy of last year’s report to avoid any duplication in reporting.
The credits in the new system are listed a little differently from what we are used to seeing. In the new system you must add the credits listed for ethics and for general to come up with the total credits for that program. Your total credits will include the number of ethics credits.
Printable Compliance Form Available from Home Page
The link to the 2005 Auto Compliance Form is on the home page of the Web site and you don’t need to log in to use it. Simply click on the green button labeled NHMCLE SC Rule 53 (located at the bottom of the list to your left). The NHMCLE page will come up; select Rule 53 Certificate of Compliance and then choose the 2005 Auto Compliance Form.
You may use this form as many times as you wish, but you cannot save the information you enter to use at a later time. FILLING OUT THIS FORM DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN ELECTRONIC FILING! When you complete the form, you must print a copy for your records and a copy to send to NHMCLE. One of the benefits of using this form is that it calculates all your credits for you.
