Attorney Meyers Updates NH Environmental Law Book
A second, updated edition of the New Hampshire Environmental Statutes Deskbook has recently been issued by Tower Publishing. The first edition came out in Apr. 2000.
The author is Jeffrey A. Meyers, chair of the Environmental and Toxic Tort Group at Nelson, Kinder, Mosseau & Saturley in Manchester and a member of the NH Bar since 1990. For over a decade, Meyers has represented clients in environmental and litigation matters in state and federal courts. He began his career in New Hampshire at the NH Attorney General’s Office and successfully argued the first criminal environmental conviction on appeal before the NH Supreme Court.
Meyers earned a B.A. from George Washington University in 1977 and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1989. Before attending law school, however, he was an associate of former U.S. Secretary of State Henry A. Kissinger at Kissinger Associates, Inc. in New York.
New Hampshire Environmental Statutes Deskbook is a single-volume work that contains all of New Hampshire’s primary environmental statutes, updated with the changes made by the New Hampshire General Court during its sessions 2001-2004. It summarizes key provisions at the beginning of each chapter and lists published court decisions citing each particular statute. The book includes references for the relevant Department of Environmental Services administrative rules. This edition also contains all environmentally related legislation that does not amend existing statutes and was adopted during the 2001-2002, 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 sessions of the state legislature.
The Deskbook is published by Tower Publishing in Standish, Maine and may be ordered by calling 800/969-8693 or by going online at www.towerpub.com or by faxing a request to 800/264-3870.
