John R. Monson Receives Wildlife Federation Award

The New Hampshire Wildlife Federation presented John R. Monson of Bedford, a senior member of Wiggin & Nourie in Manchester, with the Joe Ezyke Award. The award recognizes a person who has given outstanding volunteer leadership and organizational skills to promote outdoor sports and stewardship of the environment. Monson is completing his term as president of Safari Club International (SCI) and has received SCI’s President’s Award three times for his work in protecting the freedom to hunt and in promoting wildlife preservation worldwide.
Monson served as chairman of the NH Fish & Game Commission for over 10 years and has been a member of SCI since 1989, holding numerous leadership positions in the organization. Among his many offices, Monson is also a trustee of The Bedford Land Trust. He has been a member of the NH Bar since 1970 and is a co-founder of its Taxation Section.
