Pierce Law Tournament Benefits Public Interest Law Students
The first annual Phinney Fund Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, Sept. 30 at the Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord. Beginning at 10 a.m., players will have a chance to support Pierce Law’s Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LARP)—and have fun while doing it.
LARP is especially designed to help law school graduates who choose careers in public interest law. They work as prosecutors, public defenders and attorneys for New Hampshire Legal Assistance—and in a variety of nonprofits. Their income is often not adequate to repay school loans.
The tournament, part of Reunion Weekend, will include lunch and a barbecue dinner, plus awards and a raffle. To register, call 603/228-1541 for a brochure and registration form or go to http://www.piercelaw.edu/socjustice/golftourn.htm.
