Member Survey Series Snapshots
Most NH Attorneys Enjoy Their Work
Two-thirds of NH attorneys responding to the NHBA Member Survey Series are satisfied with their work, but, depending on their age, their sources of satisfaction differ greatly: that’s among the findings derived from the second installment of the NHBA Member Survey Series conducted this spring.
Younger members derive greater satisfaction from the challenges of legal work and the responsibilities they entail. Older members are more likely to find their sources of satisfaction in their connections to people—clients and colleagues; the stability of their law firms; and the civility they find in the NH legal community.
A significant minority, 26 percent, however, cites issues of capacity—overwork, lack of work, or finding the balance between personal life and work—as significant obstacles to professional satisfaction.
