Bar Foundation Now Accepting Justice Grant Applications
By: Susan Noon
The NH Bar Foundation is currently accepting applications for Justice Grants for the 2005/2006 fiscal year. The Bar Foundation awards Justice Grants from its unrestricted and endowment funds to support programs that build confidence in the legal system and bring together diverse resources and people to find solutions to justice-related problems.
The Justice Society Grants are funded by the contributions of many generous donors who strive to make the justice system in New Hampshire accessible to all. The specific area of interest for each fund may be reviewed on the NH Bar Foundation’s Web site, www.nhbarfoundation.org. Applications may be downloaded online or requested by calling (603) 224-6942 x 253. The completed applications must be received by the Foundation by Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, to be considered for this fiscal year.
The Justice Society funds have been established for specific purposes, including advancement of justice and the promotion of ethics and professionalism; and in honor of (or in memory of) Richard P. Dunfey, Hon. William F. Batchelder, Stanley M. and Thailia M. Brown, Vickie Bunnell, Judge Richard F. Cooper, Justice William A. Grimes, Robert E. Kirby, J. Albert and Mildred E. Lynch, and the A. J. McDonough Family.
The attorneys, judges, and others outside the legal profession who donate to the Justice Society Funds and the Annual Members and Fellows Program enable the NH Bar Foundation to translate our nation’s ideal of “equal justice for all” into action in our state.
