DOVE Equation: 1 Lawyer + 1 Day’s Work =1 Big Difference
What can you do in eight to ten hours to make a positive difference in someone’s life? That small amount of time, along with your legal expertise, may be all it takes to help a victim of domestic violence break free from an abusive partner.
The Domestic Violence Emergency (DOVE) Project is sponsored by the Pro Bono Referral System and offers free legal assistance to victims of domestic violence at their final restraining order hearings. By attending the upcoming DOVE Attorney training, you can be one of those helping victims around New Hampshire take the first step in changing their lives for themselves and their children.
The next DOVE Training Program will be held on November 9, 2005 , from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Horatio Colony House Museum & Natural Preserve in Keene. The program offers 5.5 NHMCLE Live Credit hours including 1.5 Ethic/Professionalism. Please consider volunteering your expertise to the DOVE Project and to the domestic violence victims in your community. For more information please contact Pam Dodge, DOVE Coordinator at 224-6942 or email pdodge@nhbar.org.
