2006 Midyear Meeting Preview
Day 1 starts with lively CLEs on the FUTURE OF THE PROFESSION and the BEST PRACTICES to help you get there, and thrive there. Topping off the day is a ground-breaking, new “NHBA HALL OF SECTIONS & COMMITTEES” — an opportunity for a self-guided tour among our many substantive law sections and committees where you’ll pick up “white papers” on the hottest topics you need to know about from top lawyers in your field.
Finish the day with the chance to relax at a reception with friends and colleagues.
To TAKE COMMAND YOUR FUTURE in the legal profession, you won’t want to miss this event. Can you afford not to be there?

While delving into topics such as time management, building a referral network, and closing or selling a law practice, Foonberg says that his key message is this: “Clients have expectations of us that we may not appreciate or understand. If we practice good law and understand how to meet their reasonable expectations, they will follow our advice, cooperate in the conduct of the case, promptly pay their bills and come back for more services and refer others to us. Just knowing the law alone is not enough.”
Foonberg is an attorney, acclaimed CLE speaker, and author of the perennial best-selling ABA book, “How to Start & Build a Law Practice (now in its 5 th edition.)
