Bar members are needed to serve one morning or afternoon (or both) as a judge for the New Hampshire Bar’s 2005 “We the People...The Citizen and the Constitution” competition. The district level competition will be held Friday, Dec. 9 (snow date: 12/12), and the state finals will be held on Friday, Jan. 13 (snow date: 1/16). The competition is held in morning and afternoon sessions at the Legislative Office Building in Concord.
“We the People” is an instructional program with the main goal of promoting civic responsibility and competence in young people. Teachers and students work together to learn the history and principles of the Constitution. The culmination of their study is the simulated congressional hearing (the competition).
