The New Hampshire Bar Foundation is pleased to announce Charles A. DeGrandpre as its 2006 Honorary Fellow. Charlie’s long history of supporting the philanthropic mission of the Bar Foundation has been extraordinarily beneficial to the citizens of New Hampshire. His dedication to the cause of “equal access to justice” has served as an inspiration and kept the spotlight on a significant social issue in our state. Charlie, a partner at McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, will be recognized at the Fellows and Donors Reception on Thursday, February 16, 2006, at the Radisson Hotel/Center of New Hampshire in Manchester as part of the Bar Association’s Midyear Meeting. The reception will be held from 5:30 pm-7 pm in the Currier Room. Please call Cindy Morse at the Foundation if you have questions about the reception (603-224-6942).
“For years, Charlie was the heart and soul of the Bar Foundation. He worked tirelessly to build the Foundation’s endowment. Charlie oversaw the expansion and growth of the IOLTA program which will generate well over $1.5 million in grants this year,” says Paul W. Chant, Esq., chair of the NH Bar Foundation. The reception will also serve to pay tribute to Foundation donors and the IOLTA leadership banks.
Charlie joins an esteemed register of 29 former Foundation Fellows beginning with John W. King in 1988. Kevin Devine was the 2005 Foundation Fellow.
The NH Bar Foundation has invested over $16 million of philanthropic funds in New Hampshire since 1977. The Bar Foundation grants serve New Hampshire’s most vulnerable populations through support of direct legal aid and counsel, provide support for programs designed to educate the public about the law and the justice system, and encourage innovation in the administration of justice to help provide equal access for all.
