2006 Midyear Meeting
Two Days of Lively Programs, Events
Jay Foonberg, author of the perennial best-seller (among lawyers, at least) How To Start and Build a Law Practice (4th edition), presents an all-day CLE program, “The Seven Habits (and One Rule) of Successful Lawyers,” on the second day of the 2006 NHBA Midyear Meeting on Friday, Feb. 17.
Foonberg, a CPA and practicing attorney, was the founder of the ABA Law Practice Management Section, winner of the national Harrison Tweed Award for CLE excellence, and is currently on the Advisory Council of the ABA Commission on the Evaluation of the Rules of Professional Conduct. His CLEs feature lots of audience interaction and answers to questions of interest to you.
This year’s two-day meeting, at the Radisson Hotel – Center of New Hampshire, kicks off on Day 1 (Thursday, Feb. 16) with a two-hour provocative CLE program on the “Future of the Legal Profession”; followed by an Honors & Awards luncheon with guest speaker ABA President Michael Greco. After lunch, choose two one-hour break-out sessions on “Best Practices” in various areas of the law and law firm management, followed by an innovative “Hall of Sections and Committees,” where attendees can gather information, schmooze with colleagues, and find out about the Bar’s various sections and committees. The Midyear Reception rolls out to end the day on a lighter note.
Also — former NHBA President Patrick T. Hayes of Lebanon has been named the recipient of the L. Jonathan Ross Award for Outstanding Commitment to Legal Services for the Poor. Other award winners will be announced later.
