THE LAW LIBRARIANS of New England are sponsoring a seven-week course on basic legal research. The course includes the following topics: Basic Concepts in Law, Case Finding, Statutory Research, Administrative Law, Westlaw and Lexis, Secondary Sources, and Research Strategy. Each class features a number of hands-on exercises.

The course is scheduled for Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., beginning Sept. 25, 2001 and concluding Nov. 6, 2001. It will be held at Boston College Law School in Newton, Mass. The registration fee is $125.
