‘We The People’ State Champions Raise Funds for Washington Trip
Dear Members of the Community,
The members of the Milford HS “We the People... the Citizen and the Constitution team have won the NH “We the People” State Championship and are preparing to compete in the National Tournament held in Washington, DC. We have asked for, and received, wonderful and most generous support from you in the past.
We are asking for your support to represent New Hampshire in this prestigious competition. The “We the People...” program is the most extensive education program in the country developed to teach young people about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, as well as the principles and values they embody. According to a recent Stanford University study, high school students who participate in the “We the People” program display more political tolerance and feel more politically effective than most adults and students.
Past members of our state champion teams have served as Senate Pages, won numerous political essay contests, served as delegates to Washington, DC in the US Senate Youth Program, served as delegates to Girls State and Girls Nation, and received substantial scholarships to major colleges based on knowledge and poise attained through the “We the People” program.
Please make your contribution to: Milford High School c/o We the People, 100 West Street, Milford, NH 03055. If you would like to contact me further about this program please call me at (603) 673-4201 ext. 183.
