Bar News - February 17, 2006 Relocations, Renovations in the District Courts
Hampton District Court -– relocated to 130 Ledge Road, Seabrook. Exeter District Court – now housed in the Rockingham County Courthouse, Route 125, Brentwood. Planned: Laconia District Court – design bids being sought for major renovation of its facilities at 26 Academy Street. Philip Arel, Administrator of the Bureau of Court Facilities said the project is expected to cost in the neighborhood of $4 million. Claremont District Court – minor renovations recently completed to accommodate the needs of the new Family Division. “We took a couple of the adjacent conference rooms and expanded the Family Court offices into that space,” said Arel. Conference rooms were created in another part of the building for use by the district court to replace those lost to the Family Court.
