Eleanor Dahar, Ellen Arnold Top NHBA Ballot
The ballots that NHBA members will be receiving in the mail this week include a slate of unopposed candidates for the 2006-7 NHBA Board of Governors. The ballots must be returned by April 15.
Current Vice President Eleanor W. Dahar seeks election as President-Elect, and Ellen Arnold is running unopposed for Vice President. Admitted to the Bar in 1988, Dahar is a litigation attorney, including bankruptcy matters, in practice with her father, Victor Dahar, Sr., and her two brothers, Victor, Jr., and Saheed, in Manchester. She attended Wheaton College and earned her law degree from Boston College Law School. Arnold, currently a member of the NH Bar Foundation Board, is Associate General Counsel of Dartmouth College.
At the Annual Meeting in June, NHBA President Richard Uchida will be succeeded by Manchester attorney Richard B. McNamara, who is now President-elect. McNamara, a trial lawyer, practices law with the Wiggin & Nourie law firm in Manchester. He is a graduate of Boston College Law School and has been a member of the Bar since 1975.
Officers serve for one-year terms; governors-at-large serve for three; and county governors serve for two years. The ABA Association Delegate represents the NHBA in the ABA House of Delegates. The President-Elect automatically succeeds as President and does not stand for election.
