US Bankruptcy Court Will Remain at 1000 Elm Street
In June of 2005, the US Bankruptcy Court moved from the Norris Cotton Federal building in Manchester to 1000 Elm Street (Hampshire Tower) to accommodate modernization of the Norris Cotton site. There is ample parking in the adjacent Canal Street garage and according to a Union Leader article of February 20 by Denis Paste, the court may decide to stay indefinitely.
The federal government will pay GSA up to $13.5 million over 10 years to house the court—and several other federal agencies which have moved to the Tower and may remain there.
