Diane Nicolosi Nominated for Marital Master
Concord attorney Diane Nicolosi has been nominated by Gov. Lynch to serve as a marital master in the judicial branch. Initial appointments of marital masters must now be voted on by the executive council, which intends to hold a public hearing. Additional marital master nominations are expected in the near future, so Nicolosi’s public hearing has not been scheduled, State House officials said.
Nicolosi, who formerly worked in the Attorney General’s office, practices with the law firm of Swope & Nicolosi, and she served on the Judicial Selection Commission created by former Gov. Shaheen.
Marital master appointments are made based on the recommendation of the Family Division Administrative Judge Edwin Kelly and are for an initial three-year term. Following the first term, the terms of masters are renewed based on a decision of the judicial branch. A nomination for another marital master nomination, created as part of the statewide expansion of the Family Division, is expected soon.
In addition, nominations are in the works for part-time judgeships in the Nashua and Rochester district courts, following screening of candidates by the current Judicial Selection Commission.
