John T. Pendleton of the firm Dwyer, Donovan & Pendleton in Portsmouth has joined the board of directors of the Seacoast Mental Health Center.  Atty. Pendleton has been a member of the NH Bar since 1993.

Lawrence J. Gillis of Rye has become a member of the editorial board of the Portsmouth Herald.  Atty. Gillis is a free-lance writer and teacher; he has been a member of the NH Bar since 1972.

Alfred T. Catalfo III, a solo practitioner in Dover, has won the Grand Prize in the NHFX/New England Screenplay Competition for his comedy screenplay Mall Cop.  During the past two years, Catalfo has been a winner or finalist in 20 international screenwriting competitions.  He has been a member of the NH Bar since 1990.

The city council of Lebanon appointed Patrick T. Hayes of Baker and Hayes as mayor.  An active and outspoken member of the council, Hayes is looked upon as someone who may be able to reach out to other towns in an effort to solve some of Lebanon’s more pressing problems.  Hayes has bee a NH Bar member since 1977.

Claudia Cords Damon, McLane Graf Raulerson & Middleton in Manchester, has been nominated by the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce for the 2006 Athena Award, given for achieving excellence in one’s business or profession, serving the community in a meaningful way and assisting women in reaching their leadership potential  Damon has been a NH Bar member since  1974.

James C. Hood, an attorney with Nixon Peabody in Manchester, has been appointed to the board of New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility, an organization  formed to build and support businesses that accept  their relationship/responsibility to their communities.  Hood has been a member of the NH Bar since 1972.

Associated Builders and Contractors of NH/VT elected Richard C. (Rick) Gagliuso of Gagliuso & Gagliuso in Merrimack to its national board of directors.  Gagliuso has been a member of the NH Bar since 1979.

The International Municipal Lawyers Association in Washington D. C. has named Daniel D. Crean as recorder of its personnel section.  Crean is the education and training program manager at NH Public Risk Management Exchange (Primex3) in Concord and has been a member of the NH Bar since 1975.

Amy Louise Ignatius of Concord, general counsel to the Public Utilities Commission since 2003, became the director of the Office of Energy and Planning on March 31, 2006.  She has been a member of the NH Bar since 1983.
