NHBA CLE: A Member Benefit, and a Bargain
Timely topics, top-notch faculty, thorough materials, and responsive service: NHBA CLE provides high-quality CLE at below-market rates. Don’t take our word for it. Compare the following prices from recent programs offered by for-profit providers and NHBA CLE:
For-Profit CLE NHBA CLE
full day, live program: $299-$399 $179-199 (NHBA members)
(meals not included) (lunch included)
half-day live program $239 $139
DVD – same price as live. $79-$159
Audio CD $319 $119-$139
Online CLE $60+/hour $40 per hour, sometimes less.
Course handbook $89 and up $35 to $55
Another important feature of CLE as a member benefit, especially at the new location, will be that the Bar can continue to offer CLE programs on significant topics that may not draw large audiences. “We really try to meet as many members’ needs as we can in our programming,” said Joanne Hinnendael, NHBA CLE Director. “Having our own meeting space allows us to do so without having to contend with guaranteed minimums at the hotels.”
At the Bar Center, NHBA CLE will continue to provide catered meals (except for very short programs). It is considered an important “added value” to NHBA CLE. “We feel it is important to provide meals whenever possible,” Hinnendael said. “Attending live CLE programs is an important part of collegiality in our Bar – and the opportunity to interact and speak informally with the faculty and with fellow attendees during meals or breaks is something we work hard to provide.”
