What Happens to the Pleasant Street Building?
The law firm of Davis & Bujold, currently in Manchester, has purchased the Bar Center building at 112 Pleasant Street, and will move in shortly after the Bar Association and Bar Foundation vacate the building.
Attorney Michael Bujold, a Concord resident, said relocating to Concord has several benefits for the firm, including its location close to the federal courthouse and to the Franklin Pierce Law Center. The firm concentrates its practice in intellectual property, primarily patent, and trademark matters, and has national and international clients as well as clients from New Hampshire. Bujold started the firm with attorney Anthony Davis, now retired, in 1988, and it now has 11 employees, including the four attorneys and a patent agent.
Bujold said the firm plans to occupy the second and third floors and is attempting to lease out most of the first floor to another tenant.
The Bar Foundation, which owned the building, is exploring how to best invest the proceeds from the sale of the Bar Center to support the new Bar Center, said David Snyder, Bar Foundation Executive Director.
