Community Guaranty Savings Bank Joins Leadership Banks
On May 2, 2006, Ronald I. Sibley, president of Community Guaranty Savings Bank in Plymouth, New Hampshire, notified the New Hampshire Bar Foundation that the bank has increased the interest rate on their Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) to meet the requirements of an IOLTA Leadership Bank. Community Guaranty joins 14 other Leadership Banks in New Hampshire that have created special rates for IOLTA accounts that yield 2% or higher, exceed the bank’s standard NOW account rate, and waive routine service charges. “We are pleased to offer this higher rate and we are proud to participate in this very worthy program,” writes Sibley. The bank’s IOLTA Program provides revenues for the NH Bar Foundation’s IOLTA Grants Program. “We are very appreciative of this rate increase by Community Guaranty Savings Bank and pleased to count them among the IOLTA Leadership Banks,” says David Snyder, executive director of the NH Bar Foundation.
