IOLTA Grants Committee Nominees Up for Vote
The New Hampshire Bar Foundation expresses its thanks and appreciation to Robert Raiche, of counsel with Nixon, Raiche, Manning, Vogelman & Leach, who recently completed a five-year term on the IOLTA Grants Committee.
Nominations to fill the open slot on the committee were accepted through June 30. Profiles of the nominees will be run in the next issue of Bar News. If more than one person is nominated, a ballot will be mailed July 11, 2006 to every participant of the IOLTA Program. If you are a participant and do not receive a ballot, contact Mary White, IOLTA operations coordinator, at mwhite@nhbarfoundation.org.
The five-member IOLTA Grants Committee meets two or three times a year. The Foundation’s IOLTA Grants Program is a competitive grant process that provides funding to New Hampshire nonprofit organizations providing civil legal services to the disadvantaged, law-related education, and other projects approved by the NH Supreme Court. For the Fiscal Year 2007 grant cycle (6/1/06-5/31/07), $1.73 million was awarded to 12 of the 23 organizations or programs that applied for funding.
