2006 Reduced Fee Referral Program Recognizes Panel Members
The New Hampshire Bar Association salutes the following attorneys who have volunteered to participate in the Reduced Fee Referral Program.
“We are grateful to these attorneys for their efforts in assisting clients of moderate incomes with their legal issues,” says Associate Executive Director for Legal Services Ginny Martin. “Attorneys participating in the reduced fee program help in assuring a meaningful option exists for the working poor to secure access to affordable representation.”
Martin explains that the NHBA’s “modest means” panel offers more extensive services than found at most state and local bar associations, where reduced-cost referral programs are often very limited in their scope. Last year, the NHBA’s Reduced Fee Referral Program made approximately 1,000 referrals.
The Reduced Fee Referral Program receives support from the NH Bar Foundation’s IOLTA program and is subsidized and administered by the Bar Association and its Lawyer Referral Service.
Currently, the Program particularly needs lawyers to volunteer to serve moderate-income clients in northern and southwestern New Hampshire.
