Key issues facing Bar Association and legal profession: Public perception of the everyday lawyer: We need to improve our positive representation of lawyers. Serving the needs of Bar members. Addressing the future of the legal profession and the Bar Association. And legal education: We need to do all we can to educate lawyers and the public about the role of law in our society and the need for our system of jurisprudence.
Areas or initiatives you would like to pursue as a board member: First, public relations for and on behalf of the profession. I would like to do all I can to combat the negative perception lay people have of lawyers and their role in society. Second, membership relations. This organization needs to reach out to all lawyers we are duty bound to represent and find out what they require of us to help them in their lives as fellow lawyers, and provide the assistance needed.
