Shaheen & Gordon Among Top 20 Firms
Corrections
Bar News regrets the omission of the law firm of Shaheen & Gordon from its lists of NH’s largest private law firms, published on page 1 of the September 21 issue of Bar News.
Shaheen & Gordon, with offices in Dover and Concord, employs 14 New Hampshire Bar members and would be ranked 16th on the 2001 list. The law firm was missed in tallies of law firms by size because it has two offices, neither of which has 10 attorneys or more, the initial cut-off for consideration during Bar News research. Law firms with multiple offices have multiple firm identification codes. A comparison list from 1996 (first published in the NH Business Review’s "Book of Lists") was initially compiled from information supplied by the Bar Association, and suffered from the same statistical glitch.
In the article accompanying the lists, "Top Law Firms Weather Change," also on page 1 of the Sept. 21 issue, it was incorrectly stated that when Energy North was purchased by Keyspan, it ended the longtime legal relationship between the company and the McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton law firm. Atypical of such corporate mergers, the company is still a major client of the firm, according to McLane Graf.
Also in that issue, a picture of Jon Garon on page 6 ("’Round & About," top of second column) was incorrectly identified as Joshua Gordon.
We regret these errors.
