Nixon Peabody Awarded for Best Practice in Diversity
Nixon Peabody, with an office in Manchester, will be presented with a “National Leader in NH— Best Practice in Diversity” award, along with Verizon and Wellpoint/Anthem, during the 4th Annual Diversity Conference, Expo and Career Fair on Sept. 19, 11:30 a.m., at the Radisson Hotel, Center of NH, in Manchester.
New Hampshire Cultural Diversity Awareness Council Chair Wayne D. Jennings cites Nixon Peabody as “taking the lead in promoting diversity in the law/legal profession.” The firm was also recently recognized by Fortune magazine as being one of the “Best 100 Companies to Work For.”
New York-based attorney Elizabeth Moore, labor and employment attorney and partner with Nixon Peabody, will be one of the featured speakers. In her practice area, she advises employers on maintaining workplaces free from harassment and discrimination and removing invisible barriers to minority recruitment and advancement.
Other invited speakers include Gov. John Lynch and keynote speaker Erle Pierce, vice president, Verizon-NH. The theme of the conference, hosted by the Council, is Working with New Hampshire Businesses, Creating Opportunities, Building Bridges and Forging Alliances for a More Diverse New Hampshire. The NH Business and Industry Association, along with the Greater Concord, Greater Manchester, and Nashua Chambers of Commerce, is co-sponsoring the conference.
