Bar Center Hosts GSALA Meeting
The next GSALA Meeting will be held Wednesday, September 13, noon-2:00 p.m. at the NH Bar Center’s new location at 2 Pillsbury St., Suite 300, Concord.
The meeting’s featured program is “The Problems and Pitfalls of Client Trust Accounting,” featuring speaker Dennis Stone. The program is a repeat of an earlier CLE class Stone presented to attorneys in June, which has been modified for law firm administrators. “I’m anticipating more mechanical questions with this audience and less interest in the theoretical aspects of the CLE.”
Stone is a principal in the accounting firm of Davidson & Stone, with offices in Portsmouth and Concord. In addition to being a CPA, he is a certified fraud examiner and a diplomat of the American Board of Forensic Accounting. He serves as the investigative auditor for the NH Supreme Court Professional Conduct Committee and has provided expert witness testimony before both federal and state courts. Stone is also an authority on IOLTA rules.
Also, as part of the meeting, Lee Jones, NHMCLE program assistant, will be available during the luncheon to answer questions on NH Supreme Court Rule 53 (MCLE) compliance issues. Guests are welcome to attend.
