Bar News Adds New Features
At the request of Bar members, the NH Bar News will be adding two new features to the lineup, The Wire and Names in the News. Starting next month, The Wire will offer a roundup of informative, brief items compiled by the editors from various law firm and related professional newsletters and publications we receive.
Names in the News is a column that briefly highlights the recent major professional milestones and accomplishments of members. The column will complement the Lawyers in the Community feature that highlights members’ community service accomplishments. It is similar to the former ’Round and About column in content. Moves to other firms, law firm openings, and promotions are items that are highlighted as paid announcements in the Lawyers on the Move section and will not be included in Names in the News.
Names in the News items will include brief descriptions of law-related accomplishments, such as:
- being appointed to high posts within national or international organizations;
- major appointments to governmental commissions or committees;
- precedent-setting legal work;
- high-level recognition by major legal organizations.
To submit items for consideration for Names in the News or newsletters for The Wire, contact Managing Editor Anita Becker at abecker@nhbar.org. To submit paid announcements for the Lawyers on the Move section, contact Donna Parker at dparker@nhbar.org.
