Mock Trial Case on Ice
Pat Dunn v. Chris LePuck is this year’s case for the NHBA-supported Mock Trial Program. As part of the program, students study the case and the laws related to it and eventually become role players in a simulated court trial competition among participating high schools. LePuck involves a dispute between two hockey players over a hockey match that spiraled out of control. The case raises issues of negligence, comparative fault, and assorted evidentiary issues.
