Did You Know?
…that tort cases comprise the number-one referral category for the NHBA Lawyer Referral Service? In 2006, LRS referred more than 600 tort cases to LRS panel members, followed by cases in these categories: family, criminal, employment, and real estate. Clients of LRS are not charged referral fees for personal injury or other contingency-fee cases. LRS collects a percentage of collected fees (above a specified minimum amount) from panel attorneys. Overall, LRS cases resulted in more than $1 million in legal fees earned by attorneys participating in this member service.
Contact rbrown@nhbar.org for more information on LRS, or click on the Lawyer Referral Service page on the NHBA We site for information on how to join the LRS panel for a modest annual fee of $50.
