SIX MONTH SUSPENSION SUMMARY
The New Hampshire Supreme Court Professional Conduct Committee considered the matter of Anderson, Michael E. advs. Attorney Discipline Office # 06-020, and issued a six month suspension on March 15, 2007. The suspension took effect on March 16, 2007.
The parties stipulated, and the Committee found the following facts, by clear and convincing evidence:
- Mr. Anderson was convicted of two counts of Obstructing Report of Crime or Injury and one count of Default or Breach of Bail Conditions.
- The convictions constitute “serious crimes” under Rule 37(9)(b).
- The convictions involve a failure to abide by court orders and interference with the administration of justice, and thereby reflect adversely on Mr. Anderson’s trustworthiness and fitness as a lawyer.
The parties stipulated, and the Committee found, by clear and convincing evidence, that Michael E. Anderson violated the following Rules of Professional Conduct: 8.4(b) and 8.4(a).
Mr. Anderson was issued a six month suspension, and has agreed by terms of the Stipulation to pay all costs associated with the investigation and prosecution of this matter. If Mr. Anderson violates any terms of his probation, Disciplinary Counsel may seek further conditions precedent to Mr. Anderson’s reinstatement.
