Delegation to Belarus Includes Two NH Attorneys
Under the auspices of Partners for Peace, an organization that conducts ongoing dialogues with emerging democracies, a delegation from New Hampshire left for Belarus on May 24 to consult with the government regarding military emergency planning and cooperation. The delegation was led by former US Ambassador George Bruno, an attorney in Manchester, and includes attorney and state Rep. David Hess (R-Hooksett), Dr. Rob Gougelet of Dartmouth College Medical School, Dr. Ted Howard of the University of New Hampshire’s Center for International Education and former Dover Police Chief Charles Reynolds.
Bruno has been a member of the NH Bar since 1971 and Hess since1972. The schedule includes workshops and meetings with the Belarus’ Minister for Emergency Situations, the National Firefighter’s Training Academy, Minsk City Officials and US Ambassador to Belarus Karen Stewart.
